Eric Kipp:   Owner and lead teacher for hiking yoga has led outdoor fitness for over a decade. Integrating his three passions of yoga, hiking, and San Francisco is my offering to SF’s dynamic yoga community. He has taught yoga since 2002 and blends ashtanga, vinyasa, and partner yoga into the mix.
Working one on one with busy executives is my favorite way to support and challenge individuals to achieve their highest mental and physical level. I studied for 2 years at Coach U, the top training school in the world for life and wellness coaching. I came out of the program with new skills and perspective to share with students willing to make real, lasting change.

Hiking Yoga's Mission Statement

Hiking Yoga inspires busy professionals to get out of their overscheduled lives and into the joy of the present moment through hikes combined with yoga in the most beautiful venues in San Francisco. We combine cardio, strength and flexibility activities into a fitness experience that is refreshing, restoring and fun as we explore San Francisco's gardens, parks and architecture.

Hiking Yoga's coaching program works with individuals to create life plans that reconnect them with the pleasures of healthy life/work balance and fitness.

New Light on Yoga. by Anne Cushman

Yoga asks us to walk a razor's edge, to devote ourselves fully to a particular pose, while understanding on another level, the pose is arbitrary and irrelevant.

If we cling to poses as ultimate truth, we miss the point. The poses were born from the practice of yoginis who looked inside themselves- who experimented, who innovated, and who shared these discoveries. If we are afraid to do the same we lose the spirit of yoga.
